When you are up by 13 points in the third quarter, shouldn’t you be able to close out the game? What a bummer. Try again next year guys. Hopefully most of the team will stay together.

Lakers beat Celtics in NBA Finals 83-79 Game 7 is over, the defending champions have prevailed. Boooo…

The Best of the Worst Fast Food Breakfasts – Part 2

Yesterday, I blogged about bad fast food breakfasts. They may taste great, but do you really need your daily allowance of calories, fat, and sodium in one meal?

Here are more bad choices and remember, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) recommends between 18 and 31 grams of saturated fat subtracted from a total of 65 grams of fat, and less than 2,300 milligrams of sodium for a 2,000 calorie diet.

Burger King Biscuits and Sausage Gravy Platter – I am a sucker for biscuits and sausage gravy, but can do without the 680 calories. And the sodium count on this one (2,350) exceeds the daily recommended amount alone!

DAI Afghanistan Terminates Several Afghan Empoyees For Allegedly Soliciting Kickbacks

This week in Kabul, Development Alternatives, Inc. (DAI) terminated 10 employees including several engineers and other staff members after months of investigation. DAI Afghanistan is a contractor with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

USAID Inspector General Donald Gambatesa stated that the investigation involves Afghan staff members who allegedly approached owners of various companies bidding for subcontracts with DAI Afghanistan. The individuals reportedly offered to help the companies win awards in exchange for a percentage of the total dollar value of the project.
